DePuy, a division of Johnson & Johnson, manufactures prostheses for various joints in the body, such as replacement parts for hip and knee surgeries.  Pulse technology was a revolutionary concept in spinal surgery as it made the technological leap from customized replacement parts to an automated system of ready-to-use, inter-fitting parts. Pre-fabricated discs and connectors allowed surgeons to rebuild simple spine injuries of nearly any kind with one surgical kit. We created the interlocking chevron logo, the bold typography and color palette, and used color-coded tags and icons to guide the selection of the moving parts. The result was a package that communicated innovative technology from one of the world’s most trusted companies.
